Tim began his professional career as a teenager, when he became the youngest member of the Oakland Symphony Orchestra.
After earning his bachelor's degree in music performance, he continued to serve as a percussionist and keyboardist with the orchestra
for seven seasons, working with some of the finest musicians and conductors of our time.
As a first-call musician, Tim was also invited
to play with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, west coast performances of the Chicago Ballet,
and numerous Broadway National Tours.
Barely into his twenties, Tim was on stage accompanying legends
like Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman, Sarah Vaughan, Henry Mancini,
and Marvin Hamlisch.
While performing in a series of concerts with prolific film composer
John Williams, Tim was inspired to move to Los Angeles to pursue
his own career as a film and television composer.
Before long, his music was being heard on every major network,
enhancing shows including Charles in Charge, Lassie, The Tonight Show,
The Young and the Restless, and all 145 episodes of The Nanny.
He also composed the fanfare for the Columbia Pictures Television Logo.
As a musical director, Tim has accompanied and/or supervised the television appearances of Carol Channing, Bernadette Peters, Lainie Kazan, Michael Bolton, Ray Charles, Celine Dion, Burt Bacharach, Eartha Kitt, Patti LaBelle, and Bette Midler.
A few years ago, Tim and his family moved to Nashville, where he thoroughly enjoyed working with the amazing pickers and singers of Music City.
Now, he has returned to Los Angeles, resuming his role as
one of television's most versatile musicians.
